Serial barista.

Former expat.

about me

I’m a twin mom, an artist’s wife, and an enneagram 4. I’ve been creating things as long as I can remember, and my passion for chasing beauty in life has taken me across the world and through unexpected adventures.

I’m a deep thinker, a problem solver, and a lover of details. I am passionate about using design to create beauty, amplify truth, and change culture.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching what I love over the past decade and inspiring a new generation of designers to do meaningful work.

I believe the strongest work comes through collaboration, and involve other talented people in my projects across time zones and skillsets as often as possible.

background

Born and raised in the infamous small town of Homer, Alaska, Tianna holds a degree in Visual Communications and has worked in branding and design for nonprofits and startups for more than 20 years.

Tianna spent her early design career overseas in Africa and Switzerland with the global nonprofit Mercy Ships, followed by a move to Washington, DC, where she played a primary creative role in the startup stages of several successful nonprofits including charity: water and Global Citizen Year.

After finding her way south to Tennessee, she joined CO.LAB, a pioneering startup accelerator in the heart of Chattanooga’s Innovation District, where she spent six years as Creative Director overseeing the visual brand and many events and projects.

One of those projects was the design of a curriculum for entrepreneurs that would later grow into the international organization CO.STARTERS, where she became the Director of Creative Experience and led brand development, product design, and content strategy for three years.

Tianna served as adjunct faculty at Covenant College as a design instructor, curriculum coordinator and mentor for students in the Graphic Design program off and on for nearly a decade, alongside running her own brand and creative consultancy.

Much of her career has focused on projects with an emphasis on cultural innovation and social good. Many of her collaborations began as small grassroots initiatives that evolved into something much larger and with lasting impact.

Tianna lives and works from Southside Chattanooga with her husband, artist Brett Weaver, and their twins, Abbott and Emeline.
